Who we are

Hi! I’m Katy and I run Saltbox Baking Co. I started baking at a young age and have been baking professionally on and off for nine years now. I thought I never wanted to open a bakery because that would take the fun out of baking, but I learned to limit myself to small batches a couple times a month to protect my sanity.

Saltbox Baking Co. is a dream I’ve been working on for a while now and I am so excited for you to share in the journey with me. Food is my love language and there’s nothing I love more than seeing your face light up after biting into a gooey cookie or a crispy, fluffy croissant.

Fun facts about me:

  • I do not like chocolate. Anytime you see chocolate on the menu here, know it was tested and vetted by chocolate lovers (my husband) and I made a small batch without it so I can enjoy it too.

  • I work full-time as a dietitian feeding people who are unable to eat.

  • I grow a garden every year and during the growing season, you’ll be able to enjoy some of my harvests in the bakes!

  • I grew up in California, but I strongly identify as a New Englander after living here for almost 15 years. I love New England and can’t imagine living anywhere else!
